NAUST Bastholmen lantern S

The Bastholmen lobster-pot lantern was the very first product designed and launched by Sögne Home in 2011. 

We are relaunching the original lobster-pot lantern this year with a contemporary and stylish look.
Staying true to its history, we are still using the classic materials of wood, glass and hemp. 

The lobster-pot lantern represents Southern Norway’s coastal way of life, where the lobster-pot is a symbol of how the hardy fisher-folk used to supplement their diets by making use of the extensive coastline. The lantern adds a new dimension to the balmy summer days of Southern Norway. When the sun goes down, the light from the lobster-pot lantern will continue to shine, extending the magic of the summer evening into the small hours. 

Balmy days:
Unforgettable summer magic: dipping your toes in the water, salt on your golden skin, rock formations scoured smooth by the water, the cry of gulls, pale waters, the distant chug of traditional fishing boats, windless days, sun in a cloudless sky, and the feeling that time is standing still.
